Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:  There is no change to Net County Cost.
 
Background:  An independent outside consultant, specializing in employment and labor matters, will provide the County with legal advice and representation involving the California Public Employment Relations Board, on an "as needed" basis.  The County has, for several years, contracted for the services of Renne. Sloan, Holtzman & Sakai with regards to these matters.  The representation and advice provided by this law firm, relating to employment and labor matters have proven professional and thorough.  The term of agreement is amended to cover the period of April 1, 2011 through March 31, 2013 and not to exceed $25,000 for the two year period.  This amount is included in the FY2011/12 Human Resources budget.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval:  The Board Clerk will return one fully executed original to Human Resources for distribution and administration
