Title
Health and Human Services Agency, Public Health Division recommending the Board consider the following:

Background
The County of EI Dorado (“County”) established an Emergency Medical Services (“EMS”) system pursuant to Health & Safety Code (“H&S”) Section 1797.200 to provide basic life support medical services to the community. The EMS System includes an Advanced Life Support (“ALS”) program in accordance with H&S 1797.52, which defines ALS as follows: "Advanced life support means special services designed to provide definitive prehospital emergency medical care, including, but not limited to, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, cardiac monitoring, cardiac defibrillation, advanced airway management, intravenous therapy, administration of specified drugs and other medicinal preparations, and other specified techniques and procedures administered by authorized personnel under the direct supervision of the EMS Medical Director or a base hospital as part of ...
