DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The Recommended Budget for FY 2024-25 process is ongoing.
On December 21, 2023, in preparation for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024-25 annual County Budget process, the Commission discussed capital improvements for Parks. A motion was made by Commissioner McIver, seconded by Commissioner Pekar to prioritize the Capital Improvement Project list, as follows:
1st Priority: A Master Plan contingency of $100k.
2nd Priority: Restrooms at Chili Bar, Restroom at the Henningsen Lotus new pavilion ($190,000), and a Shade structure at Pioneer Park playground ($75,000)
3rd Priority: Skate park equipment at Pioneer ($25,000)
Details are needed as to the intent of the Commission for these funding requests
