Background: On August 8, 2011, the Board of Supervisors selected the map entitled "Knight/Nutting Alternative 1 Redistricting Base Map" to define the new supervisorial district boundaries after the 2010 decennial census. The Surveyor's office has completed the task of converting census tract boundaries as shown on that map to definite and certain boundaries at the parcel level. These boundaries are depicted on that map entitled "Official Map, Supervisorial District Boundaries Adopted September 2011" on file with the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors. A copy of this map can be viewed at the Board of Supervisors' Office during normal working hours.
Action to be taken following Board approval: The final reading and adoption of this ordinance will be set for September 13, 2011. The ordinance adopting the new Supervisorial District boundaries will become effective on October 13, 2011.
