Chief Administrative Office, Procurement and Contracts Division, recommending the Board declare two weapons as surplus and approve the sale of same duty weapons to retiring Sheriff Officers Captain Getchel and Captain Therkildsen.

Fiscal Impact: The Sheriff's Office Armory will receive the funds paid by the retired employees.
Reason for Recommendation: Captains Getchel and Therkildsen recently retired from the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office and desire to purchase their service weapons. As the duty weapon is in current use by the Sheriff's Office, Captain's Getchel and Therkildsen will pay the full replacement value of the weapons, in the amount of $409.00 each plus tax.
The weapons requested to be declared as surplus are:
Glock .22, Serial #NPU994 and Serial #NPU993.
Action to be taken following approval: Upon approval of the recommendation, the Procurement & Contracts Division will process the necessary surplus property transfer request, and the Sheriff's Office shall process payment.
