Background: On February 28, 2012, the Board approved Resolution No. 023-2012 authorizing the Recorder-Clerk-Registrar of Voters to execute an agreement for Help America Vote Act (HAVA) grant funds in the amount of $20,000.  Approval of this budget transfer will increase revene and appropriations in the Elections Division budget resulting from the grant and allow the Department to begin using the funds for polling place improvements and equipment necessary to implement HAVA Section 261 requirements.  The grant funds will expire December 31, 2012.  
 
 
Reason for Recommendation:  To increase revenue and appropriations in the Elections Division budget.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval:   The budget transfer will be processed.
