Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: No fiscal impact or net County cost.

Background:
The 1st Annual Hangtown Cranker Classic - Hand Cycle Ride is an event sponsored by the California Pacific Medical Center/Sutter Health. This charity ride is a fundraising event for the Placerville Mobility Support Group, whose mission statement is to foster improved physical, mental and emotional health for the mobility impaired.

Requested road closures are for the safety of the parade participants, children, volunteers, and spectators along the course.

Reason for Recommendation:
The Department of Transportation is recommending Board approval of the closure to allow for the safety and success of this community event. Other involved agencies have made no objections to this closure.

Action to be Taken Following Board Approval:
1. The Clerk of the Board to obtain the Chairman’s signature on the Resolution.
2. The Clerk of the Board to send a fully executed copy of the Resolution to the
Department of Transportation.
3. The roads listed in the Resolution will be closed on Saturday, June 23, 2012, between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. and approximately 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; and closure of a portion of the parking lot at the trailhead of the El Dorado County Trail, loc...
