FUNDING: Sheriff's Office Budget - General Fund.

Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:  The Sheriff's Office FY2012-13 recommended budget has appropriated funding for these services through the end of June 30, 2013.  The Sheriff's Office will continue to budget for these services for the duration of the contract.  Total Estimated Cost for the term of August 1, 2012 through July 31, 2015 is $423,000.
 
Background:  In September of 2010 the Board signed Agreement No. 804-S9011, Amendment I tranferring Coroner services from William J. Gilles, M.D. to Michael C. Berry, M. D.
 
Reason for Recommendation:  This agreement will allow Michael C. Berry, M. D. to continue to provide clinical autopsies, toxicology collection, reviewing medical charts and general assistance to the Coroner Detectives regarding Coroner cases.
 
Action(s) to be taken following Board approval:  Chair will sign the Agreement and the Clerk of the Board will return the executed copy to the Sheriff's Office for distribution.
