Background
In April 2011, the Sheriff signed an Agreement with the California Tahoe Conservancy to provide law enforcement services on Conservancy properties Upper Truckee Marsh, Cove East and the California-side of Van Sickle Bi-State Park in the amount of $34,000 for the term May 1, 2011 to June 30, 2012.  The Conservancy wishes to amend that initial Agreement to increase the reimbursement maximum to $134,550, and extend the term of the Agreement to June 30, 2015. The services requested are a Deputy Sheriff or multiple Deputy Sheriffs to enforce State laws on animal leashes, fires and fireworks, alcohol and overnight camping. Reimbursable costs include salary, benefits and administrative overhead.

Reason for Recommendation
Approval of this recommendation will allow the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office to receive reimbursement for law enforcement services on California Tahoe Conservancy property.

Action(s) to be taken following Board approval
Signed Amendment will be submitted to California Tahoe Conservancy for execution and Sheriff's Office will submit invoices for reimbursement.
