Procurement and Contracts has been advised that funding is available within the Community Development Agency - Division of Transportation's budget.  Road Fund Discretionary
 
Reason For Recommendation
At the request of the Community Development Agency - Division of Transportation, the Procurement and Contracts Division issued Invitation to Bid 13-288-008 for the purchase of Polymer Modified Rejuvenating Emulsion.  On September 11, 2012, Item #7, the Board of Supervisors awarded bid 13-288-008 to the low qualified bidder Telfer Oil Company of Martinez, CA. in the amount of $270,797.00 for a twelve month period expiring on 09/16/2013.  Telfer Oil Company of Martinez, CA. has agreed to extend the Bid with the same pricing, terms and conditions of the original bid.     
 
The original bid included only the West Slope of El Dorado County, at the request of the Community Development Agency, Division of Transportation, the Chief Administrative Office, Procurement and Contracts negotiated the same pricing, terms and conditions of the original bid for the East Slope of El Dorado County for the purchase of Polymer Modified Rejuvenating Emulsion, and thus, increased the blanket purchase order to facilitate those purchases.  This extension and increase will include both the East and West Slopes of El Dorado County.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval
The Procurement and Contracts Division will extend the blanket purchase order for a twelve month term expiring 09/16/2014 to Telfer Oil Company of Martinez, CA.
