Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost
Community Development Agency, Transportation Division (Transportation) has included $129,920 in its Fiscal Year 2013-2014 budget and anticipates budgeting the remaining amount in subsequent fiscal years. Funding for proposed Agreement has been included in the individual budgets for Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects and will be provided by Traffic Impact Mitigation (TIM) fees and State and Federal CIP project funding. There is no Net County Cost.

Reason for Recommendation
Transportation is requesting approval of the subject Agreement with the State of California - Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) for a four-year term with a retroactive start date of July 1, 2013 and a not-to-exceed compensation amount of $324,800 for traffic control and enforcement services.
