Title
Health and Human Services Agency, Mental Health Division recommending the Board:
1) Approve and authorize the Chair to sign retroactive Agreement 017-S1410 with Jones, Andrade, Boyd, Inc., d.b.a. Mar-Ric Care Home to provide residential treatment services on an “as requested” basis for adults who have a serious mental disorder for the term of July 1, 2013 through December 31, 2018 with a maximum obligation of $100,000 per fiscal year for a total maximum obligation of $450,000 for the term of the Agreement; and
2) Authorize the Chief Administrative Officer or their designee to execute further documents relating to Agreement for Services 017-S1410, including amendments thereto, contingent upon approval by County Counsel and Risk Management, which do not affect the maximum dollar amount or term of the Agreement.

There is no Net County Cost associated with these Agreements. Sufficient appropriations were submitted in the Fiscal Year 2013-14 Budget Request, and will be included in future budgets for the term of this Agreement.
Background
Jones, Andrade, Boyd, Inc. d.b.a. Mar-Ric is licensed by the State of California to provide twenty-four (24) hour intensive treatment and assistance with behavioral health and recovery for adults to maximize the quality of their lives, provide for their basic needs, and to function well in the community. The Health and Human Services Agency, Mental Health Division (“HHSA”) does not have long-term residential facilities and must contract for these services.
The County Purchasing Agent has determined this Agreement for Services is in accordance with Board of Supervisors Policy C-17.
