Title
Health and Human Services Agency, Mental Health Division, recommending the Board consider the following:
1) Approve and authorize the Chair to sign Amendment I to Agreement for Services 512-S1311 with Mental Health Management I, Inc. doing business as Canyon Manor, extending the term to June 30, 2016 and increasing the maximum obligation to $375,000 to provide eligible County residents with access to designated mental health services, including intensive support and rehabilitation services; and
2) Authorize the Purchasing Agent to execute further documents relating to the above noted Agreement, including amendments thereto, contingent upon review and approval by County Counsel, Risk Management, and Human Resources that do not affect the maximum dollar amount or the term.
FUNDING: Federal and State funding.

Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost
There is no Net County Cost associated with this agenda item. Sufficient appropriations were included in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2013-14 budget and will be included in future budgets for the term of the Agreement.
Background
Mental Health Management I, Inc. dba Canyon Manor is licensed as a Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC) by the State of California to provide twenty-four (24) hour intensive support and rehabilitation services designed to assist clients 18 years or older with mental disorders in the development of skills to become self-sufficient and capable of increasing levels of independent functioning.
On July 16, 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved Agreement for Services 512-S1311 for the term of June 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014. Since that time, the Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) has experienced higher than anticipated use of specific services, and determined the need to increase the term and compensation in order to ensure the ongoing availability of treatment services for both existing and future clients.
Reason for Recommendation
Approval of Amenment I to Agreement for Services 512-S1311 will help to ensure availability of necessary residential treatment services on an "as requested" basis.
Clerk of the Board Follow Up Actions
1. Chair to sign two (2) originals of Amendment I to Agreement for Services 512-S1311 with Mental Health Management I, Inc. doing business as Canyon Manor.
2. Clerk of the Board to return one (1) fully executed original of the Amendment to HHSA at 3057 Briw Road.
