The Placerville & Sacramento Valley Railroad (P&SVRR) requests access for Railroad Charter on behalf of the Sacramento Valley Garden Railway Society for a special event called "Sundaes on Friday" Ice Cream Social on the Rails. The event will be held on Friday, June 20th, from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. The destination will be Deer Creek Bridge, halfway between County Line and Latrobe.
Description: During the third week in June the Sacramento Valley Garden Railway Society is hosting a Western Regional Conference of garden railroaders, drawing participants from across the Western United States. They have requested that P&SVRR provide the venue for what they call their "Sundaes on Friday" ice cream social. If approved, this event would depart Hampton Station, Folsom, at 4:30pm on Friday, June 20th, and travel approximately 3.5 miles into El Dorado County, stopping at Deer Creek Bridge. There, the participants will enjoy ice cream sundaes donated by Farrell's Ice Cream Parlour before returning to Hampton Station. It is expected that about 45 people will be participating in this event.
