Background
The Oak Ridge High School Homecoming Parade is an annual event sponsored by the Oak Ridge High School Associated Student Body. The parade starts, and ends, at the high school, proceedes up Clermont Way to Brisbane Circle, around the circle, returning to the high school along Clermont Way. The parade route is shown on Attachment 2.  Traffic on the intersecting roadways will be held as the parade passes, but will be allowed to proceed once the parade has passed.  Requested road closures are for the safety of the parade participants, children, volunteers and spectators along the course.
 
Reason for Recommendation
The Transportation Division is recommending Board approval of the closures to allow for the safety and success of this community event.  No involved agencies objected to this closure.
 
Clerk of the Board Follow Up Actions
1. The Clerk of the Board to obtain the Chair's signature on the Resolution.
2. The Clerk will send an executed copy of the Resolution to the Transportation Division.
