This item will not impact Net County Cost.
 
Background
The California Department of Veteran Affairs administers the following three revenue programs:
1) The County Subvention Program which reimburses counties for a portion of their administrative costs and for workload units performed;
2) The Medi-Cal Cost Avoidance Program, which reimburses counties for activities of County Veteran Service Office staff that result in savings to the Medi-Cal program;
3) The Veterans Service Office Fund, which is created through the sale of the Veterans license plates.
Reason for Recommendation
Approval of this recommendation is required in order for El Dorado County to continue receiving funding through these programs.
Clerk of the Board Follow Up Actions
Board Chair to sign two copies of each Certificate of Compliance and the Clerk of the Board to return one copy to Veteran Affairs for distribution to the State.
