DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION
Chief Administrative Office, Parks and Trails Division recommends the Board accept the monetary donation from a private donor towards the purchase and installation of a park bench located at the County's Henningsen Lotus Park.
DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The Parks and Trails Division was approached by Mr. and Mrs Stone with a request to donate a park bench at Henningsen Lotus Park in the Coloma-Lotus Valley. Staff provided costs associated with the purchase and installation of the bench. Those costs were as follows:
Park Bench - $345.00
Shipping - $140.00
3hrs of Facilities staff labor at $75.00/hr - $225.00
Concrete - $40.00
$750.00
Staff has been working on a donation policy to accept donations such as these, but it has not been completed. The policy will be before your Board in the future for consideration.

Chief Administrative Office, Facilities Division, ordered and installed the park bench at a site, pre-determined by staff, within Henningsen Lotus Park.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no Change to Net County Cost. The costs associated with the purchase and installation of the park bench were donated by Mr. and Mrs Stone, resident of the Coloma-Lotus Valley.
