Chief Administrative Office, Procurement and Contracts Division, recommending the Board consider the following:
1) Declare a 2003 Braun Accessible Modified Van, Serial No. 1FTSS34L53HB94121, County tag number 33444 as surplus;
2) Approve and authorize the Chair to sign Donation Agreement in accordance with Government Code 25364 and 25372, thereby transferring ownership of the van to the Tahoe Transportation District;
3) Approve the termination of the State Agreement No. 6401655 with California Department of Transportation and authorize the Chair to sign the termination letter; and
4) Approve the termination of the Memorandum of Understanding with the City of South Lake Tahoe with the effective date February 27, 2001, and authorize the Chair to sign the termination letter.
FUNDING: None. Asset is being transferred to Tahoe Transportation District.

DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION:
Chief Administrative Office, Procurement and Contracts Division, on behalf of the Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) recommending the Board of Supervisors approve surplus of the aforementioned 2003 Braun Accessible Modified Van, and transfer of the van to the Tahoe Transportation District to ensure ongoing transportation for seniors and disabled residents in the Tahoe Basin area of the County of El Dorado.
DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND:
In 2001, the County began applying for funding for the purchase of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vans, and the City of South Lake Tahoe (City) came forward with the funding and capability to manage and operate the Transen Program to provide ongoing transportation for seniors and disabled residents in the Tahoe Basin area of the County of El Dorado. The Transen Program and its objectives received support by other local public agencies including the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency and the State Department of Transportation (Caltrans) by providing additional federal grant funding.
