Chief Administrative Office, Procurement and Contracts Division, recommending the Board approve and authorize Purchasing Agent to sign Amendment II to Agreement No. 271-S1310, with Hilltop Tree Service, to provide certified arborist services and reports, and tree and brush cutting services for matters of public safety on an “as requested” basis to County departments, increasing the compensation by $100,000 for a total not to exceed amount of $162,196, modify the Fee Schedule effective November 9, 2015, increase the term three years for total term of November 9, 2012 through November 8, 2018, and add ARTICLE XXXI - Contract Registration, contingent on approval and minor revisions by County Counsel and Risk Management.
FUNDING: No change in Net County Cost. Funding for these services is budgeted in each requesting department.

DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION
Chief Administrative Office, Procurement and Contracts Division, recommending the Board make findings that it is more feasible and economical to engage an outside contractor for the provision of certified arborist services and reports, and tree and brush cutting services for matters of public safety in accordance with Ordinance 3.13.040.
