DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION
The Clerk of the Board recommends approval of this matter to establish the Board's 2016 regular meeting calendar.
DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
Upon approval of the Introduction (First Reading) of Ordinance 5029 on November 10, 2015 (Item 30, File 15-1320) and subsequent anticipated Final Passage thereof on December 8, 2015, staff prepared the 2016 Board of Supervisors regular meeting calendar. Ordinance 5029 amends code section 2.03.020 to allow for greater flexibility for special meetings and events as may be necessary over the course of the year by reducing the number of regular meetings to be scheduled in a bi-weekly vs. weekly pattern, in general. Pursuant to the language in Ordinance 5029, the Board reserves the right to amend their regular meeting calendar at any time by Resolution.
ALTERNATIVES
The Board may choose not to adopt the Resolution and proposed meeting calendar; to amend either documents or direct staff to take other action.

CLERK OF THE BOARD FOLLOW UP ACTIONS
The Clerk will obtain the Chair's signature on the Resolution, post the 2016 Regular meeting calendar on the Board's webpage and notify county departments.
