There is no Fiscal impact associated with this agenda item.
 
Background: The Board awarded the construction contract to Golden Bay Fence plus Iron Works, Inc. in the amount of $218, 487.00 on May 1, 2007,  Agenda Item 12. Contract Change Order Number 1 was awarded by the Board on February 5, 2008 for $23,512.00, Agenda Item 6. A final Change Order for $2,495.00 was approved by the Board on April 29, 2008 bringing the final project total to $244,982.00
 
Reason for Recommendation: The project is now complete and a new security fence and gate have been constructed at the Georgetown Airport. The requested Board action will start legal time frames for guarantees, and allow for the return of retention monies.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval:
1.) Chairman will sign the Notice of Completion.
2.) The Board Clerk will send the Notice of Completion to the Recorder/Clerk's office for recordation and forward a copy of the recorded Notice of Completion to the General Services Department. Thirty-five (35) days after recording, General Services will release retentions to Golden Bay Fence plus Iron Works, Inc.
