Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: No Change. The Agreement is funded by the Social Services allocation with required County match met primarily with realignment resources. Funds are budgeted for FY 2007/2008.

Background: On June 28, 2005, the Board executed Agreement #386-0511 with New Morning Youth and Family Services, Inc. for the provision of therapeutic counseling and other related services for Child Protective Services clients on an “as requested” basis by the Department of Human Services. Amendment I to this Agreement clarified service parameters by removing the reference to “shelter” in Article I-Scope of Services and Article III-Compensation and added Article XXIV-Nondiscrimination to ensure Contractor’s compliance with regulatory requirements of the California Department of Social Services, which provides the funding for the provision of these services. Amendment II further refined standards used to measure performance in Scope of Services, extended the term to December 31, 2007, and increased the total compensation amount by $25,000 for a maximum not-to-exceed amount of $125,000 during the term June 28, 2005 through December 31, 2007.
