The Sheriff's Department has advised General Services that funds are currently available in the FY07/08 budget to cover this expenditure.   Funds will be included in the Sheriff's FY 2008-09 budget for continuing a month to month lease.
 
Background: The Sheriff's Department has leased this facility since 2000. The space consists of 1300 square feet at a cost of $1.31/sq-ft.  They have informed General Services of their need to continue occupancy of the space but have requested that the term be restructured to a month to month basis.
 
Reason for Recommendation: The Sheriff's Department has a desire to centralize functions within the Department that are currently located in multiple facilities.  Changing the term to a month to month basis will provide the Sheriff's Department greater flexibility in the centralization of their functions.
Action to be taken following Board approval:  Chairman be authorized to sign Amendment II to Lease Agreement #353-L0011.  Return to General Services for distribution.
