Background: Progress House provides Alcohol/Drug Treatment Services to the County for the Substance Abuse Offender Treatment Program (OTP). The original Agreement for Services signed by the Purchasing Agent on January 7, 2008, included the recently approved Standardized Rate Structure with detailed rates for payment of standard services. There are specified services that are performed through this Agreement that were not included in the standard rates adopted by the Board of Supervisors. Those services, such as payment for attendance at Drug Court sessions, will be added in this Amendment.

Reason for Recommendation: This Amendment reflects the addition of specified services and rates previously not included in the Standardized Rates adopted by the Board, and includes an additional $49,000.00 for a total not to exceed amount of $99,000.00. The original contract was established with a not to exceed amount of $50,000 in order to expedite processing to ensure the contract was in place prior to services being provided. This amendment adds FY 2007-08 OTP grant funding not previously allocated to the non-profits, and increases the Progress House OTP funding to $99,000.
