Background: Funding has been made available through the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) to update voting equipment. Contract 652-S0611 is currently in place with Diebold Election Systems, Inc. now known as Premier Election Solutions, Inc. This vendor has supplied El Dorado County with the voting system currently in use.
Reason for Recommendation: This first amendment will provide for additional equipment purchases and assistance in election administration.
Action to be taken following Board approval: Purchasing Agent will increase contract encumbrance by $188,996.
