Title
Chief Administrative Office requesting the Chairman be authorized to sign a letter to the California State Parks Gold Fields District in support of a hybrid alternative to the Folsom Lake State Recreation Area Preliminary General Plan/Resource Management Plan Draft Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Impact Statement, and authorize the Chief Administrative Office to sign additional correspondence to convey the County's interests if necessary.

Background: The California Department of Parks and Recreation (State Parks) and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation has extended the public comment period for the Folsom Lake State Recreation Area (SRA)/Folsom Powerhouse State Historic Park (SHP) Preliminary General Plan/Resource Management Plan and Draft EIR/EIS by an additional thirty (30) days.  The new comment period closes on May 30. The Board of Supervisors requested an extension of the comment period by Resolution on April 29.
 
Reason for Recommendation: The Board directed staff to prepare a letter for Chairman's signature in support of enhanced recreation opportunities in and around Folsom Lake.Staff from the Chief Administrative Office and General Services has further reviewed the DEIR and met with State Parks and neighboring jurisdictions interested in the Folsom Lake General Plan.  
 
Action to be taken following Board approval: Board Clerk to send letter to State Parks.
