Background:    Public Health maintains an agreement with The Center for Violence-Free Relationships (aka El Dorado Women's Center) to provide services for El Dorado County victims of domestic violence.   The agreement is fully funded by County marriage license tax revenues specifically designated to be used to support domestic violence programs and shelters.  The two domestic violence programs in El Dorado County (The Center for Violence-Free Relationships and Womenspace Unlimited) have mutually agreed on the shared distribution of these funds between their two programs based on service levels.  
 
Reason for Recommendation:   To ensure ongoing services for El Dorado County victims of domestic violence through FY 2008-09.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval:
·   Chairman to sign three (3) copies of the Agreement.
·   Board Clerks Office to return two (2) fully executed copies of the Agreement to Public Health.
·   Public Health Department to distribute as appropriate.
