Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: Funding for the continuation of this contract is included in the Proposed Budget in the Chief Administrative Office (25%) and the Development Services Department (75%).
Background/Reason for Recommendation: On January 15, 2008 (item #20), the Board approved an Agreement and Contract of Employment with David Storer to serve as Assistant Chief Administrative Officer and Acting Development Services Director through June 30, 2008. Following the resignation of the Chief Administrative Officer on May 14, 2008, the Board requested an extension of Mr. Storer's contract in order to assist the Interim Chief Administrative Officer with the recruitments for the positions of Chief Administrative Officer, Assistant Chief Administrative Officer, and Development Services Director.
This amendment will extend the contract through the successful recruitment of the above positions or October 31, 2008, whichever occurs first. This adds approximately 8.3 pay periods at the bi-weekly rate of $7,030.40, bringing total compensation under the contract to $137,092.80.
Action to be taken following Board approval: The Chairman will execute the Agreement and the Board Clerk will forward one original to the Chief Administrative Office for administration.
