Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: The total funding for this agreement is $95,000 for the two year contract. There is no change to Net County Cost.

Background: Victor Treatment Centers, Inc. has several residential treatment facilities in northern California. This vendor has been providing specialty mental health services for emotionally disturbed minors from El Dorado County for over five years. It provides support 24 hours per day. Minors placed in this vendor’s facilities are not currently equipped to function in a family setting. Services provided include intensive day treatment, medication support, therapeutic behavioral services, and related services.

Residential treatment includes on-site educational facilities. The vendor’s goal is to teach residents daily living skills in a cooperative environment, eventually leading to the minors being able to return to a family setting in the community.

The funding for residential services is provided under a separate agreement between the vendor and the Department of Human Services.
