Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: No change.
Revenues are based entirely on reported eligible activities. First 5 El Dorado will receive 80% of the State funds received as a result of the County invoices to CDHS. Invoiced amounts reflect work done on behalf of El Dorado County. The County will retain a 10% Administrative Fee and a 10% Audit Reserve. $80,000.00 is included in the FY 2008-09 Budget, an amount based on estimated 2007-08 activity levels.

Reason for Recommendation:
Several agencies operating in El Dorado County participate in the MAA Program performing Medi-Cal outreach activities, assisting clients in applying for Medi-Cal and accessing Medi-Cal services, assisting the County in expanding these services and increasing access and availability of Medi-Cal covered services. The Department of Human Services is the local governmental agency responsible for coordination of the MAA Program within El Dorado County. Invoices for MAA activities are paid by the California State Department of Health Services (CDHS). The Board of Supervisors approved and executed Contract CFC-0608-01 on July 11, 2006 for a two-year term commencing July 1, 2006.
