Human Services Department, Community Services Division, recommending Chairman be authorized to sign Amendment I to Agreement for Services 478-S0411 with CompuTrust Software Corporation increasung the number of users of the proprietary software, increasing the one-time per-user license fee by $1,180 and the recurring maintenance fee by $192; and increasing the annual usage fee from $12,258.00 to $12,521.55 reflecting a cost of living increase of 2.15%.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve.

Background: On February 1, 2005, the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors approved and entered into Usage License Agreement #478-S0411 with CompuTrust Software Corporation to provide software to the Public Guardian Office to track and report fiscal, personal and case management data relative to conservatees. This proprietary software is necessary for the efficient operation of the Public Guardian Office and the Board approved the renewal of this Agreement in the estimated amount of $14,518 at its July 1, 2008 meeting.
Reason for Recommendation: Amendment I to Agreement #478-S0411 increases the number of users of the CompuTrust proprietary software in the Public Guardian Office from 13 to 17. The increase in users is necessary due to the increased number of conservatees represented by the Public Guardian Office. Additional users are needed to process conservatee case management files in a timely manner. The software is recognized statewide and has continues to be necessary to the efficient operation of the Public Guardian Office.
