Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:  
The funding is budgeted and available in the Chief Administrative Office FY 2006-07 approved budget for professional services.  There is no change to Net County Cost.  
 
Reason for Recommendation:
In April, 2005, the Board directed the CAO to negotiate a contract for legislative advocacy services at the State level with Peterson Consulting, Inc.  Agreement for services #176-S0611 was approved by the Board on May 3, 2005.  Amendment I will extend the Agreement and increase compensation for a total agreement term of 32 months, in an amount not to exceed $80,000.  The billing rate, $2,500 per month, and the scope of services remain the same.  
 
Action to be taken following Board approval:
The Board Clerk will return one original executed amendment to the CAO for distribution and administration.
