Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: There is no net cost to the County General Fund. Funding support for the Camino Area Corridor Project Study Report (PSR) is provided in the approved program budget, identified as Project No. 71319.

Reason for Recommendation: On November 6, 2007, your Board approved Funding Agreement AGMT #07-1491 (Funding Agreement) with the El Dorado County Transportation Commission (EDCTC) to help fund over a two-year period the preparation of the PSR, in the amount equal to the cost of the work performed by the selected consultant or the not-to-exceed amount of $250,000, whichever is less.

The study effort was to be accomplished through a combination of EDCTC resources and the hiring of a planning consultant. EDCTC, as lead agency, completed a RFP process from which CH2M Hill was selected. El Dorado County Department of Transportation has been providing oversight and guidance in this study effort as a member of the PSR’s Technical Advisory Committee.

Recently, EDCTC extended the term of their planning consultant contract with CH2M Hill to December 31, 2009, in order to allow for the State of California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) to review and approve the Final PSR.
