Health Services Department recommending the Board authorize the Chair to sign Amendment 5 to Agreement CTA-04033 (218-S0610) with California Tahoe Conservancy increasing the contract amount by $5,000 to $47,000 and extending the term through June 30, 2011, noting the scope of services of this Agreement requires the Health Services Department's Animal Services Program to provide limited services within the boundaries of the California Tahoe Conservancy properties known as "Cove East" and "Barton Meadow."

Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: This Amendment 5 to Agreement CTA-04033 provides incoming funding to Animal Services in the amount of $5,000 for Fiscal Year 2010-11. There is no impact to Net County Cost as a result of this Agreement.
Background: In 2005, the California Tahoe Conservancy (CTC) contracted with the County of El Dorado to provide animal related services in specific areas within the CTC boundaries. The original Agreement has been amended four prior times to modify the scope of work, termination date, and/or maximum payment amount.
Agreement CTA-04033 with the State of California, Tahoe Conservancy expires June 30, 2010. This Amendment 5 to that Agreement extends the term through June 30, 2011 and increases the not-to-exceed amount by $5,000.
Reason for Recommendation: Approval of this Amendment 5 will allow the Department to continue providing limited animal services to the California Tahoe Conservancy through June 30, 2011.
