There is no Net County Cost associated with this Agreement.  Sufficient appropriations were submitted in the Fiscal Year 2013-14 Budget Request.
 
Background
Charis Youth Center, Inc. provides Specialty Mental Health services for minors in a residential setting on an "as requested" basis.  On September 14, 2011, the Purchasing Agent approved Agreement for Services 099-S1210, with a term July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012 and a maximum obligation of $60,300.  On February 14, 2012, the Board of Supervisors approved Amendment I to that Agreement, increasing the maximum obligation by $124,700 for a total of $185,000 with no change to the term.  On October 30, 2012, the Board of Supervisors approved Amendment II to that Agreement, extending the term to end June 30, 2013, and increasing the maximum obligation by $100,000 for a total of $285,000.
 
Reason for Recommendation
Approval of this Amendment III to Agreement for Services 099-S1210 will help ensure availability of Specialty Mental Health services for minors on an "as requested" basis.
 
Action(s) to be taken following Board approval
1.      Chair to sign two (2) original Amendments III to Agreement for Services 099-S1210.
2.      Clerk of the Board to return one (1) fully executed original Amendment III to HHSA at 3057 Briw Road.
3.      HHSA to distribute documents as appropriate.
4.      Purchasing Agent to execute further documents relating to the above noted Agreement, including amendments thereto, contingent upon approval by County Counsel and Risk Management, which do not affect the maximum dollar amount or term of the Agreement, as applicable.
