Surveyor's Office recommending the Board adopt Resolution 082-2017 of vacation for Abandonment of Easement (AOE) 16-012 to abandon a public utility easement on Lots 47 and 48 of "Governors West Subdivision", recorded at Book H of Subdivisions at Page 48, identified as Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 125-500-01 and 125-500-02, requested by the owners, The Douglas B. Day And Ginger M. Day 2016 Revocable Trust.
DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
A request has been submitted by The Douglas B. Day And Ginger M. Day 2016 Revocable Trust, owner of APN 125-500-01 and 125-500-02, requesting that the County of El Dorado, Board of Supervisors, vacate a public utility easement located on the subject property. Said easement is more particularly described in Exhibit A, and depicted on Exhibit B of the attached Resolution.
AT&T, Comcast, El Dorado Irrigation District and Pacific Gas & Electric have not used said easement for the purpose for which it was dedicated and find no present or future need exists for subject easement and do not object to its vacation, and have all issued letters to that effect.
The public utility easement, as shown on Lots 47 and 48 of "Governors West Subdivision", recorded at Book H of Subdivisions at Page 48 was offered to the County of El Dorado by, Governor’s West, LTD., A Limited Partnership, on September 25, 1990. The easement was acknowledged and accepted by the County of El Dorado on May 7, 1991 and the Subdivision Map recorded on May 8, 1991.
