DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
El Dorado County is covered under a Phase I Municipal National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permit in the Tahoe Basin, which is administered by the Lahontan Regional Water Quality Control Board. In order to comply with that Permit, the County has implemented a comprehensive storm water management program, the Lake Tahoe Basin Storm Water Management Program (Program), to protect and enhance the precious water resources in the Tahoe Basin. County staff continues to innovate and build upon lessons learned to improve the Program and lead others in our resource protection efforts.

This presentation outlines a potentially new innovation, one that the County is working towards in managing this Program.
