The County will receive monthly revenue in the negotiated amount of $504.00 for the Office Space area, $104.00 for eight (8) parking stalls, and $220.00 for helicopter tie down and fuel truck parking for a total of $828.00 for the commercial aeronautical Emergency Medical Service (EMS) operations. There is no cost to the County General Fund associated with this agenda item.

Background:
County entered into a License Agreement with Calstar on August 26, 2008 for commercial aeronautical operations for EMS services with the intentions of entering into a long term lease agreement which would supersede its current License Agreement at the Placerville Airport.

Reason for Recommendation:
Calstar has requested to place a modular building on a permanent foundation for an Operations Office to be manned twenty-four (24) hours / seven (7) days a week. A lease agreement has been prepared based on the negotiations and terms between the County and Calstar.

The Lease Agreement will be for a one (1) year term to evaluate the efficiency of their operations with two (2) five (5) year options and the rental amount shall be adjusted to the Consumer Price Index upon exercising each option.
