Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: The District Attorney's office anticipated a growth in revenue for both Workers Compensation Insurance Fraud and Automobile Insurance Fraud. Due to funding levels within Automobile Insurance Fraud the amount received from the Department of Insurance was decreased from the prior year however, the funding for the Workers Compensation Insurance Fraud program grew by 16% from prior year. Below is a funding breakdown by program demonstrating the growth of the program within the District Attorney's office:

Due to the reduction in the Automobile Insurance Fraud program the District Attorney's office will be reallocating personnel and program expenditures to align more closely to the grant award dollars in order to absorb this reduction without additional net county cost.

Once revised budgets have been established a follow-up agenda item will be brought to the Board for approval.
