Supervisor Briggs, on behalf of the El Dorado County Water Agency, recommending review of its Conflict of Interest Code, per Government Code Sections 87303 and 87306.5(a), contained within Resolution WA-1-2009.
Body
The State Political Reform Act requires all public agencies to maintain a Conflict of Interest Code which must be updated every two years as necessary. At the January 14, 2009 El Dorado County Water Agency Board Meeting, the Water Agency's Board of Directors adopted Resolution WA-1-2009 which approves the Water Agency Conflict of Interest Code for the next two years. Resolution WA-1-2009 is being transmitted to the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors for adoption or other action since the Board of Supervisors is designated as the "code reviewing body" for all local agencies in the County. The approved code includes revisions to the regulations made by the Fair Political Practices Commission.
The Water Agency staff recommends the Board of Supervisors adopt or take other action on the Water Agency's Conflict of Interest Code per Government Code Sections 87303 abnd 87306.5(a).
