DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION:
Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) recommending the Board approve Agreement for Services 323-S1810 (Agreement) with Natalie Patterson for the provision of registered dietitian services for the Senior Nutrition Program, ensuring HHSA meets the requirements as set forth by the California Department of Aging.

Additionally, HHSA has determined, in accordance with County Ordinance Section 3.13.030, it is more economical and feasible to engage an independent contractor for registered dietitian services.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND:
HHSA’s congregate meal program provides seniors with hot, nutritious meals every weekday in congregate meal sites located throughout El Dorado County. In addition, if individuals are medically or physically disabled, meals may be delivered to their homes.
