DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION
The Sheriff's Office recommends the Board approve and authorize the Chair to sign Amendment I to Agreement #197-S1711 (#386) with Tri-Signal Integration, Inc., to amend the Scope of Services removing annual testing, inspections, monthly preventive maintenance, and repairs "as needed" on the CCTV Camera, Intercom, and Electronic Door Controls, amend Exhibit A, and to decrease the not to exceed amount to $27,896.
DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The Sheriff’s Office and Probation Department have been using Tri-Signal Integration Inc. since 2010 for the annual testing, inspections, monthly preventive maintenance and repair on the fire alarm systems and the closed circuit Television cameras, intercoms and electronic door controls at the South Lake Tahoe Jail and the Juvenile Treatment Center.
The current contract was approved by the Board on November 15, 2016 and has a term of November 1, 2016 through October 31, 2021 with an automatic renewal each year thereafter. The contract will be brought to Board as a perpetual contract each year for approval after the initial five year term expires.
The Sheriff’s Office and Probation Department no longer need Tri-Signal to provide annual testing, inspections, monthly preventive maintenance, and repairs "as needed" on the CCTV Camera, Intercom, and Electronic Door Controls. These services will now be provided by another company.
This amendment removes the aforementioned services from the Scope of Services in Agreement #386, amends Exhibit A increasing the cost of annual fire/life safety test and inspections prospectively, and decreases the not to exceed amount to $27,896.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
No Change to Net County Cost. These expenses are budgeted in the Sheriff’s and Probation Department’s annual operating budgets, and will continue to be budgeted in following years.
