DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION

Probation Department recommending the Board approve and authorize the Chair to sign Agreement No. 2998 with Julie Wyatt, dba J. DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

The CCP Executive Committee initially approved funding for 1 FTE Sr. Department Analyst in the Public Safety Realignment Implementation Plan “Third Year” update in FY 2013-14.  The position was assigned to the CAO’s Office to support the CCP and AB 109 Realignment programs to include research and data collection/analysis, administrative/ management program support and legislative research.  This position was filled and resided in the CAO’s office until the incumbent resigned in December 2014.

On February 25, 2015, the CCP Executive Committee approved replacing the 1 FTE Sr. Department Analyst with consultant services under the administration of the Probation Department.  Utilizing a consultant allows the CCP to determine the appropriate level of service needed, and to adjust services to the funding available.
