Surveyor's Office recommending the Board adopt a Resolution of Vacation for Abandonment of Easement (AOE) 18-012 to abandon a Light and Air easement on Lot 30 of "Tahoe Paradise Unit No. 58", recorded at Book E of Subdivisions at Page 18, identified as Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 036-611-19, requested by the owners, Jeanette Riva, Robert Dooley Riva, Jeff Merrifield and Stephanie Merrifield.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
A request has been submitted by Jeanette Riva, Robert Dooley Riva, Jeff Merrifield and Stephanie Merrifield, owner of APN 036-611-19, requesting that the County of El Dorado, Board of Supervisors, vacate a portion of a Light and Air easement located on the subject property. Said easement is more particularly described in Exhibit A, and depicted on Exhibit B of the attached Resolution.

The Light and Air easement, as shown on Lot 30 of "Tahoe Paradise Unit No. 58", recorded at Book E of Subdivisions at Page 18 was offered to the County of El Dorado by, Tahoe Paradise, Inc, a California corporation, on September 13, 1968. The easement was acknowledged and accepted by the County of El Dorado on September 23, 1968 and the Subdivision Map recorded on September 25, 1968.

ALTERNATIVES
An alternative would be to not adopt a Resolution of Vacation for Abandonment of Easement 18-012. By utilizing this alternative, the owner of Assessor's Parcel 036-611-19, would be unable to purse any development that would impact this easement.

OTHER DEPARTMENT / AGENCY INVOLVEMENT
El Dorado Planning and Building Department has reviewed the applicants request and does not object to its vacation.
