Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:  
The Health Services Department has included funds for this lease in their FY2009-10 budget request.  Annual savings associated with vacating Suite T is $8,565.72.
 
Background:  
The Health Services Department leases Suites R, S & T at 415 Placerville drive for their Alcohol/Drug programs.  Suites S & T have been leased under agreement 109-L0411 since August 2003.  Suite R is leased under a separate lease agreement.  
 
State budget reductions have created fiscal constraints for the Alcohol/Drug program.  The Department is consolidating staff into available space within Suites R and S and vacating Suite T, thereby reducing lease costs for the program.
 
Reason for Recommendation:  
Amendment II to Lease Agreement 109-L0411 amends the original lease to vacate Suite T on May 31, 2009 and continue leasing Suite S (660 s/f) at a cost of $750 per month commencing June 1, 2009.  Cost per square foot is $1.08.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval:  
Upon approval by the Board, the clerk will forward the fully executed Amendment II to Lease Agreement 109-L0411 to General Services for distribution.
