Supervisor Novasel and Clerk of the Board recommending the Board:
1) Adopt and authorize the Chair to sign Resolution 258-2018 amending Resolution 150-2018 to expand the maximum total number of members from 7 to 9 for the recently established Meyers Advisory Council; and
2) Approve the following inaugural appointments to the Meyers Advisory Council;
a) Joseph Cardinale to a two-year term ending December 17, 2020;
b) James Marino to a two-year term ending December 17, 2020;
c) Trevor Coolidge to a two-year term ending December 17, 2020;
d) Carl Fair to a two-year term ending December 17, 2020;
e) Amanda Ross to a two-year term ending December 17, 2020;
f) Judith Wood to a four-year term ending December 17, 2022;
g) Josh Marianelli to a four-year term ending December 17, 2022;
h) Greg Daum to a four-year term ending December 17, 2022; and
i) Leon Abravanel to a four-year term ending December 17, 2022.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
On March 20, 2018 the Board approved the Meyers Area Plan. On August 28, 2018 the Board adopted Resolution 150-2018 establishing the Council framework and subsequently, the Clerk of the Board posted a Notice of Vacancy on September 28, 2018 seeking applications to the Meyers Advisory Council. Over the course of several weeks, the Office of the Clerk of the Board received a total of 9 applications and upon review, it was determined all 9 applicants meet the criteria pursuant to the Meyers Area Plan.
Pursuant to Resolution 150-2018, Section 5: Terms of Office, the Clerk of the Board requested that all applicants provide their preference of an inaugural four or two year term. The appointment and respective term dates for each applicant is based on their preference, noting several members expressed their willingness to serve either a four or two year inaugural term to ensure continuity on the committee. Supervisor Novasel and staff express their appreciation to all applicants for their willingness to serve.
