DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
On December 11, 2018, the Board of Supervisors appointed the Director of Human Resources as its designated representative to negotiate the salary, compensation in the form of fringe benefits, and other related terms and conditions of employment with the Director, Health and Human Services Agency candidate in accordance with Government Code section 54957.6, and appointed Don Semon as the Director, Health and Human Services Agency upon successful completion of said compensation negotiations and conditions of employment.
ALTERNATIVES
If not approved, the County will be required to conduct another recruitment for the position of Director, Health and Human Services Agency.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no increase in net county cost. The salary and benefits for the Director, Health and Human Services Agency are included in the FY 2018-19 Budget.
