Title

Clerk of the Board recommending the Board cancel their regular meeting of Tuesday, May 7, 2019 and schedule a regular meeting for Tuesday, April 30, 2019 in support of multiple Supervisors' attendance at the annual Capitol to Capitol conference in Washington D.C. from May 4, 2019 to May 8, 2019.

Body

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

The 2018 regular meeting calendar of the Board of Supervisors was developed in September 2018 and at the time, dates for the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce sponsored Capitol to Capitol conference were not apparent.  In light of the confirmation of the dates for the conference and the several Supervisors expressing an interest in attending, staff is recommending the Board cancel their meeting of May 7, 2019 and schedule April 30, 2019 to minimize impacts to County operations.

ALTERNATIVES

The Board may choose not to cancel their meeting of May 7, 2019 which may result in a lack of a quorum.  The Board may choose not to schedule April 30, 2019 as a regular meeting date and/or direct staff to take other action.

PRIOR BOARD ACTION
