DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
At their special meeting on January 30, 2019, the Board participated in a facilitated discussion led by Babs Kavanaugh of BK Consult pertaining to the Governance Handbook which was originally adopted by the Board on December 5, 2017.
On January 30th, the Board participated in an exercise to review current Protocols and provided direction to staff to make minor amendments to the following:
- Interactions with El Dorado County Staff
- Board Meeting Agenda Development
- Public Comment in Board Meetings
- Self Monitoring of Board Effectiveness
- Handling Complaints from the Community.
All edits are shown in track change format in Attachment A to this agenda file.
ALTERNATIVES
The Board may choose not to adopt the modified language and direct staff to take other action.
