Body
DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
On May 22, 2018 (Item 25), the Board approved Agreement #2798 with the Tahoe Resource Conservation District (TRCD) to provide Monitoring Support Services for the Country Club Heights Phase 3 Erosion Control Project (Project). Transportation is requesting, through this First Amendment (Amendment), to extend the term of TRCD’s Agreement from December 31, 2019, to May 31, 2020, and change personnel and department titles in the Notice to Parties section. There is no change to the rates or the not-to-exceed amount of the Agreement.

On January 30, 2018 (Item 8), the County was awarded $250,000 of Proposition 1 funding through the California Tahoe Conservancy (CTC) for the planning phase of the Project. Included in this phase is a monitoring component to better understand the effect of pavement condition on the water quality of stormwater runoff. This Amendment enables TRCD to continue to provide monitoring support including data collection, management, analysis, and reporting associated with the planning phase of the Project through the term of the Proposition 1 funding agreement.

ALTERNATIVES
The Board could choose not to approve the Amendment. Transportation would then direct TRCD to complete the Project monitoring work by the end date in the Agreement.
